(Sept-Oct issues) celebrates these organizations that set the standard
for agri-fun! You'll find the best crop of educational opportunities
that take learning to the great outdoors! Take your pick of

historical and modern-day farming techniques, pumpkin harvesting, ecological farming,

Come
out and celebrate the pumpkin season at the Great Pumpkin Patch two-day
event. Each all-inclusive pass includes trackless train rides, moon
bounces, face painting, a rock climbing wall, a petting zoo, pony rides,
pumpkin decorating, and so much more. Don’t forget to
bring your best candy-collecting bag and hop on the Trick or Treat Trail
to meet-n-greet with your favorite cartoon, superhero, or movie
characters.
If candy is still not enough, visit the concession area for some tasty
treats. You may also pick a pumpkin of your choice from our pumpkin
patch for a small fee.
Participants
encouraged to pre-register by phone or online; however, registration is
available on site on event day at Old National Pike District Park in Mt.
Airy.

Summers Farm Adventures
include activities to keep active toddlers happy,
school-aged youngsters intrigued, and young adults amazed!
Aside from our popular jumping pillow, crowd-pleasing themed
corn maize, and home grown activities, you'll meet lots of
farm animals — upclose and pettable! Pigmy goats, "Baby
Doll" sheep, miniature horses and donkeys, pigs, ducks,
chickens, and bunny rabbits. It's an adventure for everyone!
Come out for our Homeschool Day on Thursday, October 2 from
noon-3pm. And, we're opening our maize at night! On select
October and November Friday and Saturday nights, explore the
maize in the dark (or with flashlights)! Open weekends
starting Sept 20; open daily starting Sept 29.

Every
Fall, we offer pumpkin picking, hayrides, campfires, corn
mazes, farm animals, observation beehives, nature trails and
much more. Our four affordably priced programs highlight A
Day In The Life Of A Farmer; Short Pumpkin Tour; Nature
Knowledge; and Pilgrim History.
With over 500 acres situated in scenic Howard
County off Rt. 97, we offers educational programming and
farm tours. Feed animals, take a hayride, build a campfire,
tour our maize, and experience life on the farm through
exciting educational program from September through
November!
Our goal is to educate children in agriculture and ag-environmental
sciences in an informal, hands-on atmosphere that
supplements classroom curriculum.

All aboard! Gaver Tree Farm will be open September 20 -
October 31, 2008 from 10-6 daily. This year we offer an
exciting 5-acre Train corn maze, spectacular animal arena,
straw mazes, straw mountain, giant slides, obstacle course
and lots of mini mazes, etc in our Festival Area ($5 per
person, children 2 & under free). Enjoy free hayrides to
the pick your own "Great Pumpkin Patch" and a Pumpkin Barn
with all your fall needs.

agriculture industry when 20 farms open their doors in this 7th annual
