Civil War Trains Mini-Lecture and Movie
Friday, January 9: 8pm | Weinberg Center

Special event sponsored by the National Museum for Civil War Medicine
features a 20 minute program about trains in the Civil War hosted by George Wunderlich, museum director. A showing of the 1927 silent film "The General" follows, starring Buster Keaton. Rather your interest lies in the Civil War, trains, silent films, or just entertaining shows this promises to be a great event. For tickets, contact the Weinberg Center at (301) 600-2828.

Wheel of Fortune | Frederick County Spelling Bee

Create a Fused Glass Mask Wall Hanging | FCC

This kid-friendly glass-making class for ages 10+ explores different forms of frit glass (little colored pebbles and granules of glass) to create outrageous masks! The masks will be fired in a kiln off-site and in the 3rd session you'll further embellish your mask with wire, feathers, stones and cord. Adults welcome. Fiction Writing Workshop | FCC’s Kids on Campus

This course, taught in a workshop-style setting for ages 13-16, includes writing exercises, interactive discussions, and assignments that build upon each other.
